Alistair is best known as the founder and former chairman of Eastern Europe's Mmd, which he grew organically over 16 years to become the leading corporate communications, public affairs and public relations consultancy in 19 countries across Central Europe, Russia/Eurasia and South East Europe. Winning acclaim from across the global PA and PR industries, Mmd was sold to the Huntsworth Group in 2007 and - following a planned merger with sister companies in 2010 - will become part of the third largest independent PR network in the world, operating under the Grayling brand. In managing and growing the Mmd network, Alistair not only provided board level consultancy himself, but also pioneered a matrix management approach in emerging markets by combining international communications and management expertise and best practice with the best of indigenous talent and social, political, economic & cultural understanding: an approach Alistair is now implementing across Latin America. In his role as Chairman of Speyside, Alistair is closely involved in developing the business in its geographical expansion and growth. A corporate communications specialist he also provides board-level counsel, focusing on crisis management, foreign investment & IPO.
